Production of exotic atoms at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN

POSTER

Abstract

We study the production of exotic atoms in ultraperipheral pp and heavy ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. Our calculations apply to the production of muonic atoms, pionic atoms, protonium, and other exotic atoms. The space-time distribution of the produced pairs is investigated in detail.
