The Expansion of Planetary Nebulae and Supernova Remnants

By using the various techniques provided by the Hands on Universe software, we were able to analyze archival and current images of both planetary nebulae and supernova remnants to detect possible dispersion. Archival images were obtained through internet resources and current images were obtained using the observatory at Tarleton State University. This has allowed us to test the effectiveness of such a program in high school settings.
