Manifestations of the CISS effect in Chiral 2D Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites
ORAL
Abstract
2D Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites (HOIPs) show potential applications in spintronic and optoelectronic. Moreover, chiral 2D HOIPs exhibit chirality-induced spin selectivity, known as the CISS effect. Here, we delve more into how the CISS effect manifests in chiral 2D HOIPs, namely (R/S-MBA)2PbI4 (or MBA). We fabricated photodetectors based on the chiral MBA and studied the photocurrent dissymmetry. We also probed photogeneration and carrier mobilities via the time-of-flight photocurrent transient using different helicities of light. Moreover, we explored the interplay between the chiral 2D HOIP overlayer and the magnetization in ferromagnetic Co/Pt multilayers using magneto-optic methods.
