FPGA-Based RFSoC Development for Upscale Quantum Sensor and Qubit Readout
POSTER
Abstract
Modern quantum information readout is largely based on probing a resonator repeatedly. The resonance frequency of a resonator can drift in time due to various reasons. We develop a data processing algorithm to actively track the drift of the resonance frequency. We then determine a protocol to modify the output tone frequency in time to compensate the drift. The entire process would be carried out on an FPGA-based RFSoC system within a time window in the order of $10^2-10^3$ ns. We study the improvement of signal-to-noise ratio when the tone-tracking algorithm is applied to quantum sensors. We discuss applying the protocol to a scaled-up sensor array as well as qubit systems.
