Spin fluctuations in FeSb2

ORAL

Abstract

Spin fluctuations are a hallmark of quantum materials. It is well established that spin fluctuations can be stabilised through geometric frustration, low-dimensionality, and magnetic anisotropy. Finding candidate materials, where long range magnetic interactions are suppressed, and fluctuation driven non-Fermi liquid behaviour emerges is of chief importance. Here, we present observations of spin fluctuations in FeSb2. This multi-modal study demonstrates that FeSb2 hosts a quantum disordered state at low temperatures characterised by the presence of anisotropic fluctuating spins. This work underscores FeSb2's role as a promising platform for studying emergent quasiparticles and unconventional magnetic phenomena driven by strong electron correlations and spin interactions.
