Deep release temperature analysis technique to fit parameters of specific heat and Grüneisen parameters

ORAL

Abstract

Improvements in the pyrometry techniques are now providing accurate temperature measurements for dynamic temperature measurements. We present a methodology for obtaining the thermodynamic functions for a Mie-Grüneisen equation of state obtaining parameters for the specific heat, Cv and parameters for the Grüneisen coefficient as a function of volume, Γ(V), along the release isentrope. The standard approach of Γ(V)= kV will be compared to another analytical function Γ(V)=Γ0+(V/V0)q. The technique will be applied to a suite of liquid cerium data.
