THOR stripline loading uniformity measurements
POSTER
Abstract
Sandia National Laboratories Thor-64 pulsed-power machine uses a tunable current pulse (90kV) to generate a magnetic drive that continuously compresses a sample and control panel for ramp-wave compression. The uniformity of magnetic loading was characterized in the longitudinal and lateral directions for a variety of load geometries and driving pulses using PDV and VISAR. The uniformity is compared to other pulsed-power machines.
