Asay Foil -- Ejecta Interactions

ORAL

Abstract

We study how Asay foils behave under impingement of explosively driven Sn ejecta. Experimental data from high-speed shadowgraphy and velocity fields from multi-point photonic Doppler velocimetry measurements are presented. The data is used to elucidate the dynamic response of Asay foils to the multiple impacts of explosively driven Sn ejecta clouds traveling with velocities exceeding 1 km/s.
