Parity Operator for One Dimensional Quantum Oscillator

Abstract
A novel and simple derivation of the parity operator for a one dimensional quantum oscillator, using a unitary transformation and the annihiliation and creation operators, is presented. The derivation has pedagogical application to the teaching of quantum mechanics.
