Title:Invited: Quantum Control Optimization for Near-Term Quantum Simulation and Variational Algorithms
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Quantum control optimization is a critical part of quantum computer design that translates quantum algorithms into analog control signals. Near-term simulation of non-trivial many-body systems and different types of variational algorithms can drastically benefit from having access to parametrized quantum gates. I will review various challenges towards designing extremely high-fidelity quantum gates for parameterized single and two-qubit control optimization and the opportunities it brings to the new paradigm of hybrid digital and analog quantum simulations.
