Unconventional Electric Response in Monochiral Single Crystals of NaCu5S3

Abstract
We report the first magneto-transport characterization of monochiral single crystals of NaCu5S3, which we prepared using Focused Ion Beam (FIB) liftouts due to the ten-micron size scale of the crystals. The samples are free of magnetic ions, giving the potential to determine the effects of the structural chirality on electrical transport properties. Longitudinal and Hall transport measurements as a function of field and temperature indicate a transition from a dirty metal at high temperatures to an insulating regime at lower temperatures. We connect this with our observation of an unconventional, non-linear Hall resistivity to discuss the novel physics of this material.
