Investigation of Anisotropic Magnetic and Dielectric Behavior of Chiral Magnetic Oxide CoTeMoO6
ORAL
Abstract
Chiral magnetic insulators are subjects of recent research due to their potential to host topological magnetic structures and multiferroic properties. The delicate interplay between collinear magnetic exchange, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya, and anisotropic interactions in such materials result in non-trivial magnetic textures. We have prepared single crystalline samples belonging to the MTeMoO6 (M = Co, Mn) family using top seeded melt growth. Our investigation of magnetic, structural, and dielectric properties of CoTeMoO6 indicates strongly anisotropic magnetic and dielectric behavior. This work will shed light on the origin of these anisotropic behaviors based on the magnetic structure determined using neutron diffraction.
