Superconductivity and strong electronic interactions in a moiré quasicrystal – part 3

ORAL

Abstract

We discuss the theoretical aspects of twisted trilayer graphene at small incommensurate twist angles. Despite the absence of a Brillouin zone (and therefore a band structure), the spectral functions and density of states can still be computed to high accuracy. We show how the system parameters can be directly extracted from experimental transport measurements. Finally, we address the interplay of quasicrystallinity and interactions in this system. Moiré quasicrystals present an exciting new setting for highly tunable strongly interacting physics and opens many new interesting theoretical and experimental directions.
