Decay Rate of the Tkachenko mode

Abstract

We construct a low-energy effective field theory of the Tkachenko mode in a rotating two-dimensional superfluid. This theory has an exotic symmetry which is a nonlinear version of the dipole symmetry. Using the symmetry we determine the energy dependence of the decay rate of the Tkachenko mode in the long-wavelength limit.
