Cuprate-Specific Modeling of Pseudogap Collapse

Abstract
We have found that a model of the pseudogap as a short-range antiferromagnetic (AFM) order with topological defects (charged domain walls) can describe many features of the pseudogap, including:

- Gap collapse when the Van Hove singularity (VHS) of the lower magnetic band crosses the Fermi level;
Low-field limit Hall density diverges at a doping beyond the VHS crossing;
Fermi arcs associated with gap inhomogeneity;[1]
Superconducting Tc associated with strength of VHS, approaching high-order VHS.[2]
These results are in good agreement with experimental studies of pseudogap collapse.[3]
