Variational study of interacting 1D mixtures of bosons and fermions

ORAL

Abstract

We revisit the case for paired coherent states in one-dimensional Bose-Fermi mixtures of cold atomic gases in the presence of attractive interactions. We do so by updating the continuum formulation of the Matrix Product States (cMPS) ansatz to deal with the specific scenario of mixed statistics. Our results complement previous studies done using tools like DMRG and bosonization, and build a more comprehensive picture of the different concomitant ground-state pairing orders.
