Post Quench Dynanics of Couled Electronic Orders:

Abstract

Motivated by recent experiments on optically induced superconductivity in systems with competing charge density wave and superconducting phases, and optically induced metallicity in systems with competing charge order and ferro magnetic phases we study the dynanmics of systems of coupled order parameters after a short intense light pulse. We show how differences in relaxation times compbined with order parameter competition can lead to evolution into metastable minima [1] and investigate the dynamics of an interface between two phases, derviiing conditions undere which the phase disfavored in equilibrium can actually expand [2]
