Absorption spectra and density of states of cubic Frenkel exciton system with Gaussian diagonal disorder

Abstract
We used the coherent potential approximation to investigate the density of states and the optical absorption of Frenkel exciton systems in cubic lattices with nearest neighbor interactions and a Gaussian diagonal disorder. Our results for the simple cubic are in good agreement with previous investigations using finite-array calculations.
