Majorana Bound States at the Superconducting Vortex from Magnetic Skyrmions

ORAL

Abstract

We show topological superconductivity can arise at the interface of ferromagnetic skyrmion material in proximity to an s-wave superconductor in the presence of strong spin-orbit coupling. We study the Majorana zero modes localized at the interface of the heterostructure and propose a pathway towards a useful platform for the manipulation of Majorana fermions via controlling skyrmions.
