Pretransitional Diffuse Neutron Scattering in Ferroelectric KTa<sub>1-x</sub>Nb<sub>x</sub>O<sub>3</sub>

Abstract

Pretransitional diffuse neutron scattering in ferroelectric KTa1-xNbxO3 occurs at (110), (111), and (130) with no diffuse scattering at (100), and (200). These observations will be discussed using the elastic structure factor and `uniform phase shift' description.
