A polarization-actuated plasmonic circulator

Abstract
We show both by simulation and experiment, a plasmonic structure functions as a nanoscopic optical circulator when the input laser beam is properly polarized. Moreover, depending on the helicity of the spin angular momentum carried by the light, the circulation direction of surface plasmons could be correspondingly controlled.
