Temperature dependent vibrational modes of TNT and CL-20 cocrystal in terahertz regime
POSTER
Abstract
We employed terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS), a non-invasive technique, in the range of 0.30 THz to 2.50 THz to measure the effective dielectric properties of a 1:1 molar ratio cocrystal of TNT and CL-20 in the temperature range 150K to 400K. We observed two distinguished absorption peaks at 0.80 THz and 1.3 THz at or below room temperature. The absorption peaks disappear at higher temperatures. We extracted the dielectric constants of the cocrystal using effective medium theories.
