Quantum criticality in Ising chains with random hyperuniform couplings
ORAL
Abstract
In critical Ising chains, independent random disorder localises almost all excitations, and drives the system to an infinite randomness critical point. However, correlations in the disorder can change the universality, and even make the disorder irrelevant.
We show this in the critical hyperuniform random Ising chain, where increasing hyperuniformity yields a line of Griffiths-free infinite-randomness critical points with continuously varying exponents, this line terminates at the Ising class “critical Ising insulator”.
