Phase transitions in current biased superconductors

ORAL

Abstract

We consider models of Josephson coupled superconducting wires and sheets in the presence of current biasing. We study signatures of a phase transition between fully locked ("locked") and unlocked ("soliton") phases akin to the conventional commensurate-incommensurate transition in mutual inductance and tunnelling spectroscopy.
