Whisper Networks in Astrophysics

I will discuss how social media (like Twitter and Facebook) and communications mediums that are social (like Slack) have transformed how physics and astronomy are done. I will specifically discuss whisper networks that circulate rumors about new scientific discoveries as well as information about chronic harassers in our field.
