short-range pair density wave in cuprates

Abstract

We analyze recent STM results on period-8 density wave in the cuprate vortex halo and provide a theory of short-range pair density wave to explain quantum oscillation above Hc2 and the electron gap in the anti-nodal region in underdoped cuprates.
