Shaking Wall dynamics in Ultracold atoms
POSTER
Abstract
We analyze dynamics of a one dimensional hydrodynamic fluid in response to periodic shaking of the walls. Experiments of this type can be done with ultracold atoms using either resonantly interacting fermions or bosons. We show that shaking excites phonons through both coherent drive and parametric resonance. We discuss similarities and differences of this type of experiments with the moving mirror problem in a 1d optical cavity.
