Observation of angle resolved bands of C$_{60}$ by photoemission spectroscopy

ORAL

Abstract

The band structure of a C$_{60}$ thick film deposited in-situ on a crystalline surface is studied by angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). We observe the presence of a well-defined low energy diffraction pattern (LEED) and dispersive HOMO bands, suggesting a crystalline arrangement of the C$_{60}$ molecules. The momentum and photon energy dependence of these bands is presented.
