Fluorescent DNA-templated silver nanoclusters

Abstract
Silver nanoclusters synthesized in the presence of templating DNA molecules show tunable optical properties that depend on cluster size and structure as well as on templating DNA sequence. In this paper we study the effect of DNA sequence and temperature on the cluster photoluminescence and discuss the results in the context of thermodynamics of DNA bases binding to the silver atoms in the clusters.
