Toroidal Nematic droplets with radial anchoring

Abstract

We generate toroidal droplets of nematic liquid crystals with radial anchoring condition at the boundary of the torus and the stabilizing yield stress medium. We discuss the two observed equilibrium states: the first being a non-singular twisted escape and the other case of singular $+$1/2 rings.
