Critical current oscillations in superconducting Al strips

ORAL

Abstract

We have studied current-voltage characteristics as a function of temperature and magnetic field in superconducting aluminum strips with varying lengths and cross sections. We find that the critical current oscillates as a function of magnetic field and suggest that the effect depends on the relative energies of vortex configurations in the strips in different transport regimes.
