Quantum criticality of YbBiPt

ORAL

Abstract

YbBiPt is a stoichiometric heavy fermion compound with an enormous Sommerfeld coefficient and a magnetic ground state that can be suppressed by fields of about 4 kOe. We will present and discuss recent thermodynamic and transport measurements, and the evidence for field induced quantum criticality in this material.
