Pretransitional Diffuse Neutron Scattering in Ferroelectric KTa$_{1-x}$Nb$_{x}$O$_{3}$

Abstract

Pretransitional diffuse neutron scattering in ferroelectric KTa$_{1-x}$Nb$_{x}$O$_{3}$ occurs at (110), (111), and (130) with no diffuse scattering at (100), and (200). These observations will be discussed using the elastic structure factor and `uniform phase shift' description.
