Measurements of $^{7}$Be + p elastic and inelastic scattering

Abstract

Measurements of the $^{7}$Be+p elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections have been made at the HRIBF at ORNL, with a combined angular coverage of up to 60 degrees in the center of mass. Thin CH$_{2}$ foils were bombarded by a fully stripped radioactive $^{7}$Be beam. Scattered protons were detected in the SIlicon Detector ARray (SIDAR) and recoiling $^{7}$Be in a gas ionization chamber. Results will be presented and compared with previous measurements.
