Analysis of RONS generation in the reaction of plasma interact with ammonia solution
ORAL
Abstract
Numerous techniques exist for reducing N-losses during N-fertilizer utilization in soil, and for augmenting the nitrogen utilization efficiency (NUE). In this study, we explored a plasma bubbles-assisted ammonia treatment method, and investigated the role played by various reactive substances in the oxidation of ammonia. The specific reaction pathways were determined via air and O2 plasma simulations, while argon plasma experiments were conducted to corroborate the contribution of OH radicals in the ammonia oxidation process and the efficacy of the proposed plasma treatment. This study offers new insights into an advanced plasma-assisted ammonia treatment method.
