Electron Impact Excitation of He, H$_{\mathrm{2}}$ and Ar.

Abstract

Angle-differential electron impact excitation of He, Ar, H$_{\mathrm{2}}$ and H$_{\mathrm{2}}$O will be presented at low energies using a time-of-flight electron spectrometer which employs pulsing of a grid in front of the electron filament source. The data will be presented for energies close to threshold for excitation to about 20eV above threshold and will be compared to existing theory.
