Belle II: New Physics and the Next Generation

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

Results from the e+e- B factories, LHC and Fermilab now suggest that flavor physics could be an alternative path to breaking

the Standard Model of particle physics. The possibility of lepton flavor universality violation in B decays is especially intrigiuing.

I will review some early results from the Belle II/SuperKEKB physics run as well as the the long term physics potential of Belle II

and prospects for new physics discoveries.
