Projected Hartree-Fock in a no-core shell model space
ORAL
Abstract
The no-core shell model allows for first principles calculations of excitation spectra and other properties, such as electromagnetic moments and decay strengths. Beyond the 0p-shell, however, traditional no-core configuration-interaction (CI) calculations become very challenging. As a simplifying approximation, we investigate angular-momentum projected Hartree-Fock calculations of light and medium-light nuclides, comparing against standard CI where possible as well as against experiment.
