Extracting the Protono Radius from PRAD-II Experimental Data

ORAL

Abstract

The second generation of the Jefferson Lab Proton Radius Experiment (PRad-II) will run in the first half of calender 2026. This talk will review how the functions for extracting the radius for the first generation PRad experiment were determine prior to the analyiss of the data. Next, the status our studies of which function(s) to use for the extraction of the radius from the upcoiming set of data will be presented. In addtion, we will show how models based on chiral effective theory can also be made to make the radius extraction making use of a modern theoretical model.
