Theory Overview: Nucleon and Nuclei E/M and Gravitational Form Factors
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
I will present an overview of recent theory deveopments in hadronic and nuclear form factors, with particular focus on the gravitataional form factors (GFFs). GFFs contain a wealth of information about the structure of hadrons such as the distribution of mass and spin. Their study is therefore perfectly in line with the scope of the future Electron-ion collider. However, for a long time, it was thought that measuring GFFs in experiments was impossible due to the weakness of the gravitational interaction. I explain how recent theory breakthoughs give hope for the experimental extraction of GFFs in exclusive processes at Jlab, the EIC and beyond.
