Calorimeteter Design and Calibration for New Experiments at RHIC and the EIC

Abstract
New calorimeters are being both proposed and built at RHIC and for the future EIC. We will review this situation including possible and realized designs and especially focus on techniques for calibrating the new calorimeters.
