Critical behavior in mean-field hadronic transport

ORAL

Abstract

We develop a relativistic density functional parameterization of the QCD equation of state and use it in a hadronic transport simulation. We investigate the behavior of nuclear matter in a number of scenarios, including initialization within the spinodal region and in the vicinity of a critical point of the QCD phase transition. In particular, we analyze the time evolution of experimentally accessible observables sensitive to the existence of the QCD critical point.
