Abstract

Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) is accepted as the theory of the strong interaction, but it leaves many unanswered questions. World-wide efforts are aimed at understanding hadronic structure and at observing exotic QCD phenomena. Some highlights of recent progress and emerging mysteries as well as an outlook will be presented.
