Towards continuous quantum error correction with a neutral Ytterbium atom array

Abstract
Neutral atom quantum processors are a promising platform for scalable fault-tolerance quantum computing. To manage atom loss when implementing deep quantum circuits, continuous replacing lost atoms while performing quantum error correction is required. Here, we introduce a platform with fast, continuous atom reloading of 171Yb metastable nuclear spin qubits. We will present results on high-fidelity imaging in large arrays, rapid single-atom preparation and rearrangement, and discuss progress towards implementing continuous quantum error correction.
