QLS on polyatomic molecules: calculations and experimental design
POSTER
Abstract
Understanding symmetry violations in molecules is of great significance in the realm of modern physics and chemistry. Precision measurements of parity violation in chiral molecules, for example, can be used to test the Standard Model description of the weak force and search for parity violation in the strong force. To achieve this goal, we aim to measure the transition frequencies of chiral molecules using quantum-logic spectroscopy (QLS). Here, we present calculations of spin-rotation coupling and hyperfine structure of the molecules, and a preliminary design of the experimental setup.
