Enhanced motional cooling in subwavelength atomic arrays
ORAL
Abstract
Atomic arrays with subwavelength spacing exhibit light-induced dipole-dipole interactions, resulting in the collective emission and absorption of light. These modified radiative properties also impact the optomechanical response of the system. In this talk, I will demonstrate that collective subradiant states can be harnessed to enhance laser cooling of atoms.
