Detecting Thermal Acoustic Radiation with Mechanical Antenna

Abstract

We couple acoustic channels in and out of the membrane mechanical resonator to a remote mechanical bath. This work is in part an effort to understand external loss mechanism and further design new generation optomechanical absolute thermometers.
