Electron-impact ionization of the Se$^{2+}$ and Se$^{3+}$ atomic ions

POSTER

Abstract

Semi-relativistic configuration-average distorted-wave (CADW) calculations are made for the electron-impact ionization of the Se$^{2+}$ and Se$^{3+}$ atomic ions. The CADW calculations are found to be in reasonable agreement with recent measurements made at the Multicharged Ion Research Facility at the University of Nevada in Reno [G. A. Alnawashi et al. J. Phys. B 47, 105201 and 135203 (2014)]. The CADW calculations for configurations near ionization thresholds are checked against level to level distorted-wave (LLDW) calculations.
