Ultra cold atoms in a Time-Modulated One-Dimensional Optical Lattice Plus Harmonic Potential

Abstract

We study the quantum dynamics in a time-modulated one-dimensional optical lattice plus a parabolic potential using the tight-binding approximation. We solve the dynamic equation describing the atomic motion. We report dynamic localization of a Bose-Einstein condensate in a shaken optical lattice.
