Interference-filter-stabilized external-cavity diode laser

Abstract

We present the design and characterization of an external cavity diode laser using two commercial interference filters that take the place of the common diffraction grating for mode selection. An extension of a single custom filter design [1], our method also includes a half-wave plate and polarizing beam splitter for fine adjustment of the feedback and out-coupling.
